How we price
Last verified October 2026
Every price on this site comes from one price register. The cost guides, the calculator and the Quote Checker all read from it, so the same job never shows two different numbers.
Where the ranges come from
- Prices published by Sydney plumbing and drainage businesses on their own websites, compiled September 2026 and re-checked October 2026. We read what a business publishes about its own work; we don't copy figures from cost-guide aggregators or lead marketplaces.
- Quotes Sydney homeowners enter in our Quote Checker (job, area and amount only, no personal details).
- What plumbers in our network record on completed jobs: the actual cause and any repair needed.
Low, typical and high
"Low" is the cheapest common quote for a straightforward job, "high" the top of the normal range for a harder one, and "typical" where most quotes land. All figures include GST and assume business hours.

Area adjustments
Market prices vary across Sydney with access, parking, travel and older housing stock. We apply these multipliers to the market range. They're our own modelling, not an industry survey. Block Drains' fixed prices are the same everywhere.
